Privacy Policy for HebrewReader

Effective date: March 15, 2026

HebrewReader is designed to work primarily on your device.

What the app stores

The app stores the following data locally on your device:

What the developer collects

The current version of HebrewReader does not collect personal information on the developer's servers.

The app does not require account creation and does not upload your imported books to a developer-operated backend.

Device services

HebrewReader uses Android text-to-speech services available on the device to read text aloud. If your device needs additional voice data, Android or the installed TTS engine may direct you to download it.

If you save generated audio, the file is written to your device's Downloads folder.

Data sharing

The developer does not sell or share your personal data.

Data retention

Your imported books and app preferences remain on your device until you delete them or clear the app's data.

Security

Reasonable steps are taken to keep app data local to the device. However, no device or software environment can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children's privacy

HebrewReader is not directed specifically to children.

Changes

This policy may be updated if app functionality changes. The effective date above will be updated when that happens.
